I've used berries but this tart is not reserved for berry season. Try adding some sauteed cinnamon apples or other fruits that are in season so you can have it any time of year. You could even swirl jam through the top of the custard. It's a small batch that's easy to make by hand or in a dedicated food processor if you don't own a standing mixer. Food tip 101, when you grill steak at night, grill some extra to ensure there are leftovers for the next day! Nothing like pairing steak with eggs, avocado and salsa for and epic breakfast! : : : : Steak and Soft-Scrambled Egg Tostadas with Avocado and Salsa over baked Tostada Shells : : : To make the baked tostada shells: 6 corn tortillas olive oil . Preheat the oven to 350F. Spread out the corn tortillas on a baking sheet. Brush approximately a tsp of oil on one side of tortilla and flip over and brush the same on the second side. Bake the first side in the oven for 4 minutes. Flip the tortillas and bake as for an additional 4 minutes or until they are turning golden brown.
